Maybe 2 1/2 stars - but that's being generous. I went to Foxtrot Oscar in November 2010 with my father to celebrate my graduation and we were both really disappointed. We were greeted by an overeager head waiter who the whole night was all smiles in a very uncomfortable and fake manner which did not make us feel welcomed at all. While we were waiting for our starters I heard a woman complain about the rare steak she had ordered saying it was almost well-done - at that point I knew it did not bode well. How can a professional cook not get a steak right? It is unacceptable especially when she is paying £22.50 just for the steak. For starters I had the potted salt beef, which was reasonable had it not come with poor quality toasted bread on the side (i've had much better luck with Tesco toast!). My father had the pear, stilton and beetroot salad which he described as average and slightly dry. I had the smoked haddock with mash for my main, I know smoked haddock is salty but there is no excuse for over seasoning the rest of the dish and throwing everything of balance. I simply couldn't finish it as my taste-buds were completely overstimulated, and I'm not one to shy away from salt. My father didn't have better luck with his beef burger, the buns were over toasted and almost burnt, the chips were dry and the tomato relish tasted like something out of a bottle. My father commented that Barons burgers were miles ahead of Ramseys. The best part of our meal were the desserts. I had nice selection of homemade ice-cream and dad had a creme brulee which had the right consistency, pretty good caramelization on top and was over all tasty and yummy. It was the first Ramsey restaurant I've been to and based on this experience I doubt I will visit another - seems the Ramsey name might be overrated? I couldn't help but think that had Gordon himself tasted some of these dishes he would have thrown them in the bin whilst exclaiming some verbal profanities.

I was lucky enough to be taken to Foxtrot Oscar on Tuesday for their fine wine night. It’s a cosy little restaurant with plenty of atmosphere, with good food and friendly service. The wine, though for the life of me I can’t remember what it was called was absolutely fantastic. I would love to come here again for my birthday in March, just need to convince my other half to take me ;)

Hey jus wanted or needed to tell you my boyfriend and I went to Foxtrot Oscar last wk for my day, well what a night, the staff so polite ,especially Monica, who was so lovely and helpful, the food (and I have ate good food)! Was the best I have ever tasted. Melt in the mouth Jobi's,you can just about have all three meals so is superb! Was not too busy on a Mondays night so I suggest doing mid week if at all poss, you felt like you were the only people in there! When my scrumptious dessert arrived they had written in chocolate" Happy Birthday" and the brownie and blood orange sorbet was to die for! If you read some of the reviews from other people I think you could be put off. But dont you dare take any note! The price was cool too only £60 a head and that included cocktails to start 2 large wines and beers! Well Mr Ramsey or should I say your wonderful team, made our night so special, thanx monica and your lovely gentleman along side you! Cant wait to visit again soon! Lots o love Jo N Stu From Norfolk! Xxxx

Spending a weekend in London some friends took us to this restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely, just the right amount and everyone was left feeling perfectly full.

i had the lobster pie it was very tasty and highly recommend it.

The price was not bad either.Overall a great meal.

Thanks Foxtrot Oscar

I loved the experience at 'Foxtrot Oscar' because there was an attention to detail that you don't get at most other places.
The waitresses were actually frinedly!! How rare. They were polite and they even phoned a taxi service for us at the end of our meal. Nothing was too much trouble, and we weren't kept waiting long for anything.
The food was delicious- all excpept the chocolate dessert which had been ever so slightly over cooked and stuck to the edges of the bowl. I remember everything else being absolutely perfect.
What a delight!

Foxtrot Oscar is one of those terribly posh Chelsea places I've only been to with my Dad. The food's nothing to write home about and my Dad always pays, so I haven't a clue how much it is, though from the client at Foxtrot Oscar I'd say not too cheap.
I like Burger King.

Staff are very polite and attentive nothing was too much trouble.

However when I was there a rude customer made the point of embrassing a waitress over some spilt drink she stormed out and said she was going to send an email to Gordon Ramsey!

Maybe she did not want to pay

You sound like a spoilt brat! Your dad pays for decent food, you slag off a restaurant where people actually cook food, from scratch and then you say you prefer a burger chain whose food tastes like cardboard.

Not helpful for others!

Think if the reviewer believes Burger King is better than Gordon Ramsey (if he is ever there) then they are entitled to their view.
