Frankie's Italian Bar and Grill is very disappointing, to say the least. I used to treasure my visits to the Criterion in it's former incarnation - the food was good and the service impeccable. Since it's changed to Frankie's both seem to have hit rock bottom.



The night we were there the service was surly, to say the least, and the food was mediocre - the soup was way too salty, the salad very uninspired and the Merlot under par. Even the music was inappropriate for the space and atmosphere. All in all Frankie's was a huge disappointment.

I disagree totally

my husband and I had lunch in there last month and found the service good, friendly staff, good,quick,hot food.

We returned yesterday with the kids for tea, again really enjoyed it,also reasonably priced. Only moan, toilets in basement and rather smelly.
