I've been going here for about the last 15 years and have always found the food excellent and very reasonable, the wines are clearly thought out and the house wine is always of a good quality. I would strongly suggest the meat dishes like the leg of lamb or the lamb grilled kebabs which are outstanding, the salads from the top floor bar are always fresh and healthy.

Always good to kick off with some humous and falafal. It's a good place for the vegie crowd as well. The fresh juices are fresh, I love the carrot and orange mixed and at about £2 you can't go wrong with this. To finish off with the coffee and expressos (this might sound silly) are top notch, again a deli that knows how to make a decent coffee. I tend to pass in the mornings and grab my coffee and pastry here because it is cheaper, of better quality than a Pret or Starbucks and of course, it's not a faceless chain so I get that free feeling that I not supporting a corporate monster.

All the stuff is made fresh and I understand on site every day which says a lot for the place. What I think says the most about it is that it has been going strong since 1965! So they are doing something right there, an establishment that has survived and been successful over 4 decades. Staff are friendly, the owner is a laugh. One of London's hidden gems, and that's from a born and bred Londoner.

Gaby's is a great alternative to your typical Subway lunch. This place was friendly, efficient, and great value for money. I didn't go for Gaby's "famous salt beef", but what I did order was a rather large and very delicious turkey salad baguette for only £2.50 and that's fantastic in my book!

Gaby's is a handy little stop if you're going to the theatre. You can wolf down a salad or spoon down a cheesecake and it won't leave your wallet crying out in pain afterwards.
Ok, so Gaby's isn't your romantic hideaway type place, but it's quick and the food's good.
