Genies Restaurant, also called Hollands Wine Bar is a tiny little place with tables almost stuck to each other. Thankfully (?) it was empty when we went so there was no one to sit on our laps. The food is very basic, at best - 3/10. The biggest failure is that they charge for tap water!? Avoidable.

I love London for its homely little wine bars and restaurants. Genies is one of the best. Genie is a friendly host and the painoist is fabulous. The food is great and the wine list excellent...a great atmosphere with regulars all around.

I had a great meal here and there was some geezer called David Mazower playing Super Trouper by Abba on the piano . . brilliant playing but the singing was a bit dodge...

I had a splendid meal at Genies restuarant. It was my last night in the UK and I found the quiet and delightful dinner I'd sought. Genies Restaurant does wonderful food, has polite and fun service, and the pavemment table was perfect after a long day. I almost defected.

Genies is one of Holland Park's best kept secrets. Very friendly place. Great live music and fantastic atmosphere. The food was "well-balanced" and absolutely delicious.

The only downside was the smoke...and I am not talking about stage effects, although the quality of the conversation with complete strangers made even this insignificant. All in all I look forward to my next visit.
