Went here one evening with my boss and we were slightly put of by the service, very slow and drinks failed to turn up and then we had to approach them for more drinks.
However, champayne cocktails were excellent and the menu is interesting and varied, very appetising and good options for vegetarians-overall excellent, reasonable priced food but the service lets them down!
We all enjoyed Ginger! Two beautiful girls, a great crew, and fine dishes!
We go to Ginger quite a bit and love the place! The staff are always polite and quick to help and the food is fantastic. I thoroughly recommend the prawn dish which comes in a baked coconut - it's superb!
The atmosphere is great, although sometimes it can be a bit on the cool side. Ginger is a great restaurant with food and mango lassis to die for. I love it!
Maybe this was an off night at Ginger or the kitchen was understaffed, but the service was appalling, the staff were rude and we were waiting 45 mins for starters which turned up cold. All this plus no communication or reason was given for the delay.
When we asked for the drinks and starters to be taken off the bill in view of the delay, we were told this was not possible, and then given a bill which included a service charge. At this point, as no service had been provided, we decided to leave. It will take a long time and a very good reason for me to go back to Ginger...
Bangladeshi cuisine is often a bit sweet over here, but Ginger have brought the cuisine back to its roots. Gloriously strong, spicy flavours, not watered down to suit English palates.
Ginger is one for curry connoisseurs.
