We really like the Golden Palace. Contrary to the other reviewer I think the food is actually pretty good and we've had some great finds when we've ordered dishes that we've not tried before. Yes, it's standard Chinese fare but I'd say the Golden Palace is above average.

We had dinner at the Golden Palace a couple of weekends ago. The decor is tatty and the food average. Go here if you really fancy Chinese and don't know of anywhere else in the area. The Golden Palace is nothing special.

The Golden Palace is simply the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Ok, it’s not as cheap as some places, but if you go for the banquet option you’re presented with a dizzying array of food, all cooked to order and tasting fabulous.
If you can’t afford to travel to China, Golden Palace is the next best thing.
