Well, previous reviewers have reviewed "Gourmet Island" and "Gourmet Burger" under this listing. It's neither - it is Gourmet Buffet.

Truly in the class of tacky and greasy move-them-along style Chinese buffet restaurants it is nonetheless a place I have visited half-a-dozen times as it's close to one of my offices.

Strutton Ground offers a huge number of sandwich shops for the lunch crowd but this place manages to snare it's share of punters.

To be honest, the food is fine and regularly replenished and for the price it would be churlish to give it less than 3 stars. It is what it is and slightly above-average for that.

I’ve only been to Gourmet Island once – it’s nothing personal but I just don’t really like fish, and Gourmet Island is a bit of a fish-lovers place. My girlfriend loves it though, but she likes fish. Maybe we’re not really that well suited?

There is nothing Gourmet about this Buffet. The food is overpriced, bland, and covered in grease – yet they pretend like they’re doing you a favour serving it to you.
Gourmet Buffet? Gourmet Con more like!

We went there for my birthday yesterday. My daughter woke me up in the morning and told me mum I have been sick in my bed. Then when I finished attending to my daughter I had to run to the bath room with the runs. later on in the morning again my daughter had the runs and my niece has a dodge stomach. The restaurant is filthy and I saw a cockroach in the ladies toilet and my neice saw a cockroach spray at the till of the shop. Once the noodles are cooked they leave them in a crate in full view by the stairs where the customers come down stairs any one who passes it is at liberty to spit in it or even worse if they wanted to sabotage the food. Further more they prepare the spring rolls in the eating area so you can see how the food is prepared. Don't eat at this restaurant it's not worth parting with your money I have a good mind to call Environmental Health and have them closed down as they look to make quick money and don't have any idea about customer care.

Gourmet Burger do some fine burgers (obviously). I could Gourmet Burger's burgers till my head falls off and rolls into the gutter.
