Had a great meal @ Grafton house last night. Have been going to Grafton for the past few years, this was our best visit yet! Food and service was great (although they could have done with one more waitress as they were very busy!) brilliant garden out the back as well! Will be back soon.

I ate here last night (Tuesday) on a Taste London booking (50% off).

We were provided with a lovely amuse bouche soup to start with which was delicious.

We ordered a lobster starter to share as well as some 'pesto bread'. The lobster starter was nice but they forgot the bread - when we reminded them they apologised and kindly asked if we'd like it with our main course free of charge instead.

For mains we had the cod with truffle mash and the red mullet with prawns and mussels. The cod was absolutely delicious but the red mullet dish was revolting. Neither I nor my girlfriend could stomach it - I regularly eat fresh shellfish and seafood so enjoy the taste but this had absolutely no taste but that of salty seawater so we ended up sharing the cod.

That dish sort of ruined the meal for us really despite the rest of it being perfectly OK and the staff friendly. Saying that if i didn't have 50% off i would be hugely disappointed as it's not cheap.

Not likely to rush back here but it's worth trying once if you do have the 50% discount.

I totally agree with the previous posts. I recently called to confirm a table in the restaurant for 8 people I had booked through Top table. The offer was for 50% off the al a carte menu which was also advertised on their website.

When I called I spoke to the rudest man with absolutely no customer service skills at all. When I asked if we could add an extra person on who would of course pay full price he said this was absolutely out of the question and told me now instead of the 50% off offer we would now have to have a 3 course £30 set menu. We didn’t want a three course meal and found this pretty unbelievable. What made it even worse is he said "we would prefer to have customers who are willing to pay"! If you are not willing or are going to look down your nose at customers who would like to use the offer simply do not offer it.

If I was the manager/owner of Grafton House I would seriously consider who i was employing.
