My fiancee and I have a very spot for this restaurant, we started coming here when we first met (about 7 years ago) and its still one of our favourites, one of the few restaurants we come back to again and again. We love the hustle and the bustle, the vibe coming off Bond St, the intimacy and the buzz of the restaurant and the delicious food.

I dined here with a friend last night for the first time and had a brilliant experience. It was very busy when we arrived at 7.30 but we got a table immediately. The food was delicious and great value for money. We shared a meze at £11.00 a head finished off with a lemon mint tea which was fantastic.
The surrounding decor is wonderful, the service was faultless and the manager was very welcoming.
An extensive menu of authentic Turkish dishes was on offer and the atmosphere was very buzzy and lively. I intend to return soon even though I don't live in London anymore and I definitely recommend everyone try this restaurant!

Grand Bazaar is a place to avoid! Overcrowded with people bumping into you or your table when passing by. Rude staff, ignoring you completely, not realising you actually ordered something until the kitchen closes, which was in my situation and I had to eat some ready made wet cake instead of a dessert of my choice.

I had to even pay my bill at the door when leaving because the annoyed with the whole world waitress did not respond. Starter and main course at Grand Bazaar were quite good apart from the disastrous dessert which was forced on me.

If you love the food head straight to Cafe Gallipoli or Gallipoli Again in Angel. You will find there a better version of Grand Bazaar's dishes plus all that Grand Bazaar is lacking, which is atmosphere and amaziningly attentive service.

A trip to Grand Bazaar really is like a visit to Turkey. The smoky back room is akin to sitting in a desert tent, and the spicy food is followed by yummy Turkish delight.
Save yourself the airfare and plan a trip to Grand Bazaar.
