I have been to the Greedy Cow more than once altogether with my family and always enjoyed the food and service. There were of course times when we had to wait for our food longer than expected, but again we were always offered a discount or apologies and the food was definitely worth waiting for! The location is perfect as it is only a 10 mins walk from Victoria Park where you can have a lovely walk/bike ride with your kids. I would definitely recommend it!
went there last Friday had a great time . Lovely waitress good Rioja excellent burger amazing onion rings what more could you ask . Large Courvoisier brandies at £5.50 each almost too tempteing to have more than one. highly recommend
I visited the Greedy Cow Restaurant last week and was very pleased with the restaurant. The restaurant is a nice cosy place in the heart of Mile End. The Decor is modern and welcoming along with the staff.
The food we ordered was great, must admit quite a variation to choose from. The food was well presented and tasted different from the typical restaurants. The desert was the best for myself i recommend "The Chocolate Fondant" WOW....
We also ordered a few cocktails very well made.
Prices are also reasonable considering what we had ordered.
The waiters were very pleasant also.
Overall i'd say give this restaurant a try you won't be disappointed.
Thanks you all at the Greedy Cow
First of all I thought what a great location. As I walked in.. I was welcomed by friendly staff and willing to show me to my seat along with my fiance.
The atmosphere was really pleasent and our drinks came within minutes. We ordered our starters and mains and was well presented and the food looked and tasted amazing..
Espcially the lamb chops. Last but not least the desert was wonderful. We both really had an amazing evening at the Greedy Cow Restaurant and we will be coming back soon.
I have been to the greedy cow more than once and always enjoyed the food and the service. The food is excellent value for money and always tastes good.
The staff are all pleasant and always willing to do there best for you.
I find the restaurant a very friendly and pleasant enviroment and will continue to visit on a regular bases.
I made a reservation for myself & 26 guess for my birthday. I paid a £5 deposit per head with the booking.
I have dined at greedy cow more than once before & really rated this place for its food & style. But was left totally dissapointed! We were told if we ordered all at the same time we would all eat together.
So that is what we done but not only did everyone get their starters at all different stages...half hour apart, our main courses came up but without their side lines so we all sat around with half our meals...
I also requested for the children that were with us to get their main courses with our starers but all they ended up with were a bowl of chips while waiting 20mins for their burgers & steaks!
As i had the funtion room upstairs & the manager was down stairs i asked for him to come up more than once before i actually got to speak to him face to face.
He seemed apolagetic but did try to argue with my stepmum which i thought was really wrong & unprofessional. We did not recieve any discount for the meal but was offered a free meal in the future for myself & my partner as we are regulars & im sure he did not want to lose our custom.
Over all i still really rate the food but the service was terriable. I may go back but only for our free meal.
I went on a Friday evening with a friend and ordered a couple of starters and main course of burgers.
Our food was served after other larger groups who had arrived after us - a wait of over 30 minutes with no apologies.
What made it even worse was that our starters only arrived after we had finished out main course! Needless to say we sent them back - for which we recieved a disgusted look.
Then the waitress had the cheek to add a 12.5% service charge on our bill, and gave us the most moody of goodbyes.
Needless to say the service was disgusting with no apologies (the waitress advised the chef had messed the order up).
Our burgers and salad were excellent - and good value. Friendly and quick service as well. Right opposite Mile End Park if you want to combine it with going for a walk. Recommended.
