Hidden behind Euston Station, this secret little cafe provides delicious homemade food made with organic ingredients and a range of healthy snacks and drinks.

The Venue
The top floor of Greens and Beans is essentially a health food shop with a few intimate tables. There is more seating downstairs, where diners can escape the shop which can be a good idea as it does get quite busy. Upstairs there is a self-service buffet with freshly made soups, a range of hot dishes and salads – these can be eaten in or taken away.

The Atmosphere
The staff regularly chat to the customers and recommend dishes, creating an intimate and warm environment. Although small, this shop and cafe is the ideal place to enjoy delicious food and drink. The cosy atmosphere simply adds to its charm.

The Food
Drop by for breakfast or lunch. In the morning there is a selection of organic breakfasts available such as toast with organic fruit spread or delicious porridge made with millet, quinoa or traditional oats. For lunch, customers can order from the a la carte menu – dishes range from nut roast with mashed potato and salad, homemade pizzas and hearty pasta dishes. The buffet is the most popular choice at Greens & Beans – choose your container and pack it full of gorgeous treats such as the creamy coconut lentil curry, sweet and succulent roasted butternut squash with peas, comforting cheesy potato gratin, and tasty vegetable enchiladas. There is also a cold salad buffet with healthy options such as tangy feta salad and mushroom, tofu and spinach salad.

The Drink
Sample the tempting variety of herbal teas, organic soft-drinks, fairtrade coffees and organic juices that are on offer, or opt for a hand-made fruit juice or smoothie. The sustenance smoothie will satisfy the tastebuds and keep you going through the day with its combination of banana, strawberries, almonds, sunflower seeds and milk.

The Last Word
The food here is delicious and healthy. For the same price as a stodgy supermarket sandwich you can enjoy freshly made food, packed with flavour. Why go elsewhere?
