Guglee in Swiss cottage was recommended by my father he raved about this place as "having the best Indian food” he has ever had, and he gave us the business card. One day, we walked around regents park, and decided to walk to Swiss cottage & go in to guglee it was Thursday night they were busy .we didn’t book a table so we thought we have to wait the host at door got a us a table with in 5 min, And the best part is that they been so busy our waiter was spot on with his friendly service,
They do Indian street food which remind my holiday in India so got the sev puri chaat & some other starter guglee salmon was perfectly done,
Then for our entrees with naan, my girlfriend had the butter chicken, and I had the sea food malabari & beans poriyal. We then ended our meal with rose & honey kulfi . Everything was so well prepared and thought out and so *delicious!*
This place gives an innovative and designer outlook to Indian food, and your taste buds will thank you for it! In addition, the service was superb. I will agree with my father that it is the best Indian food I've ever had
guglee is highely recommended ,we will be coming soon with all the family for a curry night.
Guglee restaurant on Finchley road is a modern place to go. The decor and ambiance is excellent, food is delicious and desserts are awesome ! Price wise GUGLEE is value for money definitely ... in-spite of lot many competition around them. I had Meat Thali and my boyfriend had Malai Kofta which was delicious with exact amount of spices and flavours in it. Service was exceptionally good and friendly. Would definitely go back.
This is a new restaurant in our neighbourhood, but my boyfriend and I have been there twice now and considering making this our new go-to for curries (the place across the road has been somewhat inconsistent of late!) The food does take a bit of time to arrive, but it's well worth the wait! The curries are cooked to perfection, flavoursome and taste really fresh - and the thalis are very generous. On our most recent visit, the waiter actually swapped our sides in our thalis so that we were able to try more dishes - we can recommend the lamb rogan gosh, the malai kofta, the okra, the chana masala, and the black lentil dhal. And the saffron rice pudding is to die for!
For the quality, this place is really good value for money, especially given how expensive some of the competition is around the area - yes, the decor may not be special occasion, but it's I would say well presented for a cheap & cheerful place.
