We heard a lot about the restaurant and in particular about the décor and the food so we visited Hafez last Sunday to try it ourselves. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. Cold food, hard rock lamb chops and poor service. There are better Persian restaurants in the vicinity with much better food. If you are looking for a snazzy décor this is probably a good place to go but if you are looking for some decent grills then you are better off somewhere else.

Hafez is a cute cafe restaurant with outside seating serving Iranian food. Lots of dips and spices and kebabs to try and really friendly staff. I think they have another Hafez branch somewhere too.

What Hafez lacks in space it more than makes up for with its great food, good service and lovely decor. Possibly the best Persian food in London, but that's my opinion. The lamb here is "melt in the mouth" and certainly worth a try. Shame the place is so tiny and discreet. Guess it makes it a well kept secret...but is superior to Alounak just around the corner!
