The best burger I have ever eaten.
Helpful staff and a comprehensive wine and cocktail list make this a great choice, although they could make more of an effort with the beers for the real ale drinkers out there.
Went for lunch its a bit on the expensive side; but well worth the money spent. The salmon salad was lovely as starters and the steak was the best I ever had. The sides of beef dripping chips and baked sweet potato were simply gorgeous. I would recommend this place and I shall visit again once I save up some money.
I could not recommend Hawksmoor enough.
Extremely friendly and attentive service, great cocktails (researched as well from the team), tasty starters (we had the squid which was lovely and the bone marrow which was enormous and silky smooth). Star of the show: the chateaubriand. Did not come cheap but for a taste and quality such as this... And ok we ordered a massive portion. Fries were the best one I had in a long time. And because we were greedy we had dessert: my cornflake ice-cream will bring me happy memories for at least the next few weeks :) have it with a glass of Tokaji!
I took my girlfriend here based on the great reviews on this site and thought it only right to add my own.
The only reason we went was for the steaks and they did not disappoint. We shared a 900g porterhouse t-bone, which was cooked just as ordered and was full of flavour. I had not heard of this cut before but the staff were very knowledgeable and happy to explain and assist. In fact, the staff were extremely friendly and chatty throughout, although never annoying. The wine by the glass was excellent too.
A really great meal out at a very fair price. I will definitely be going again.

I went to Hawksmoor after reading a rave review and I wasn't disappointed. I like my steak and I think the 600g rib-eye I had here is the best I've ever had. Super succulent and great flavour.
Hawksmoor wasn't cheap cheap but I think that's because good quality meat costs money (it's apparently all organic and comes from the Ginger Pig in Borough Mkt). Thoroughly recommended.
Hawksmoor has great food, funny looking staff. Hopefully the starters at Hawksmoor will improve, but the steak was simply sublime. Took me two days to work it through.
Hawksmoor is a pretty unusual place. I've been twice and the second time was even better than the first. The steaks and drinks are unbelievable.
The first time I went they were pretty understaffed, but second time was amazing. If you like meat and booze - Hawksmoor has to be the place for you.
After a long and (for the most part) enjoyable search I think I have found the best steak in London. The menu at Hawksmoor says that the bone-in sirloin (all 600g of it) was from a North Yorkshire Longhorn. And it tasted good. Even so it had to battle with an enormous cavemanish veal chop to be the star dish of our group's meal.
Hawksmoor is a serious meat place - but they do have whole grilled Seabass and a tasty looking vegetarian dish. We shunned the range of ice cream sundaes to finish with a couple of very well made cocktails - which led to a couple more. Highly recommended.
I love the burgers at Hawksmoor. The atmoshpere is really cool. The bike is an ace feature too. Will be taking my mates back to Hawksmoor for a slice of proper Americana.
Hawksmoor is a proper old style Amercian venue. The atmosphere is great and the food even better. I felt like we'd had a proper blow out! Would definitely recommend Hawksmoor for those who like their food big and American.
