Okay food left a bad taste in my mouth after awful service. Made to feel unwelcome and in hindsight we found that we were overcharged. A great shame as this is a local business that we would have loved to support.

Believe it or not I used to live here at the Hayfield in the 1960’s! My parents were the landlord and landlady of the Hayfield when it was a functioning public house in the era of the Kray Twins, in fact my dad had his own “minder” called Ramsey! I remember the Bass Charington Brewery opposite –where’s that gone? The changes are dramatic! It looks great I’m so thankful that having travelled 350 miles that it’s not knocked down and made into a “netto”! Good luck and best wishes to Hayfield for your future – Glad you kept the name!
