excellent lunch had with clients. 4 steaks cooked to perfection. was given a tour of the wine cellar by a lovely lady who can i only presume was the owner. crab starter was light and tasty. cheese board well chosen. wine selection one of the best in city.
great setting, good food, friendly and warm staff. would recommend.
Excellent service, very friendly and helpful, and the food was just lovely. The home-made cinnamon ice cream was amazing. You can tell this restaurant is the result of a passion, I just hope we have time to visit the wine cellar next time!
Good setting, good wine, good starters.
However, for a restaurant that apparently prides itself on its beef, this was a hugely disappointing meal.
I ordered a large, rare, rump steak. After being warned that "for our chef, rare really means rare", I was brought a steak that most pubs would call an over-cooked medium.
For my party, not a single steak arrived cooked to order.
To top things off, the service was distinctly underwhelming in response to our complaints.
If you like steak, go elsewhere.
Incredible top end South African wines (had tour of cellar too), simple decor, good personal service and fabulous cheese room. The meal was excellent too! CL
