I love the Hobgoblin. Ive just finished my degree at Goldsmiths, and the beer garden is amazing in the summer.



They've just started doing an amazing bbq with a new chef and it was only £2.00 a meal when we went. This consisted of a Moroccan Lamb Burger with Cous Cous and salad. And it was yummy.



I have read a lot of negative reviews of the landlady, she has always been lovely with us. The Hobgoblin is warm in the Winter and cool throughout the Summer. Closes earlier than the rest of the pubs in New Cross though at 11pm.

The Hobgoblin has an unexpected and big garden at the back. Don't know if this was just a one off but there was a burger grill going on, DJs and screens playing video of something or other. Nice music, nice people. We found somewhere to sit easily. Will be really great on a glorious summer's evening...whenever that may be!
