Had my doubts about this place having seen previous reviews, but risked it anyway for my birthday party, as they offer free room hire.

It was a massive success. Manager was very helpful, lent us DJ equipment and PA.

Really good night, and we loved the upstairs function room, which apparently was refurbished recently, along with the rest of the place.

Buffet was Thai - their whole menu is nowadays - very nice as long as you like Thai.

Really good range of Beers and spirits- bit pricey, but isn't everywhere?

Nice staff and manager.Would definitely recommend.

If you're wanting to book your work's christmas lunch here..... don't bother and here's why...

1. Our 3 course meal consisted of
a) A very bland vegetable soup starter
b) A turkey roast dinner including undercooked stuffing with pork sausage, overcooked and microwaved vegetables & 1slice of turkey
c) A rubbery christmas pudding which was microwaved to death with a very small dollop of butter

2. The service was clumsey at best - a variety of staff dressed anywhere from acceptable to fluroescent bicycle attire. We weren't greeted or welcomed; at the end of our "meal" our payment was taken by what appeared to be the manager however he was sadly unable to operate the wireless card machines nor offer the card holders their receipts.

Overall a very dissappointing meal certainly not worth the £22.95 coupled with poor service.
