Great food especially the pad Thai... very friendly service. We'll definitely come back!

Used to use this place a lot, it's convenient, quick service and and value for money compared to other Japanese places locally. But it seems they hadn't been paying kitchen staff their due wages for years and there was a noisy protest outside last night. Best avoid.

I am from Japan, have been living in this country for a while. Ichiban is the restaurant that can provide the closest to my mum's cooking - meaning very good ;)

I have been going to Ichiban for years - and it never fails to please. The Tofu dishes on the starter is to die for, all the sushi is freshly prepared and perfect. Any other dish I have tried has always been spot on. Its one of those little gems you find and you go back time after time....I can't recommend it highly enough.

Everyone who still thinks Brixton is full of burnt out cars and rastas should jump on the tube to Ichiban Sushi. It’s one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to.

Ichiban Sushi was amazing. Tucked away in the back streets of Brixton, we arrived at 8:30pm to a thriving little eaterie and were seated in a cozy little corner. Actually, the whole thing is just one big cozy little corner. The crowd was youthful and friendly, the staff efficient in a way that only Japanese can be and the food was out of this world! Excellent value for money as well (meal with beer came to less than similar at Wagamama!) We shall be going again!
