Tucked away at the end of Selfridges, Iguazu is a laid back taste of Latin America away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street.

The Venue
Situated behind Selfridges, Iguazu adjoins the back of Selfridges’ ground floor clothing department. With wooden floors and simple decor, leather bean bags and low seating, candles and Mexican style overhead string lights, Iguazu has an outdoors, indoors feel.

The Atmosphere
Iguazu attracts suited business types and artistic students alike. With salsa and flamenco often playing Iguazu is a great place to chill out after a hard day in the office. The bar atmosphere adds to the relaxed feel of the place and the chatty, casual yet professional service enhances the chilled out vibe.

The Food
An extremely well thought out and balanced menu brings the best of South America to Central London. Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries are referenced with the traditional tapas style dishes such as chorizo, empanadinhas and calamari fritos.

Portions are more than sufficient to match an average tapas plate and four dishes would be adequate to share with a friend. The menu also offers bocadillos (sandwiches) and platos principales (main meals) as well as salads and desserts.

The Drink
In typical South American style the drinks' menu provides an ample variety of cocktails (many available as non-alcoholic versions) hovering around the £5 mark. Bottled beers include the Mexican brand, Sol and Budweiser but Iguazu also offers a variety of shooters, champagne cocktails (slightly pricier than the champagne-free versions) and of course sangria, by the jug.

The Last Word
Iguazu is a hidden away bar and restaurant which is worth seeking out. A great place for a sit-down chat and a hearty meal with friends after a hard day of working or shopping.
