Simple, traditional Japanese grub of the kind you don't often find outside Japan. Their udon in particular is spot-on, and the sheer range of dishes can't be beaten. The decor may be a tad uninspired, and the staff may not speak Japanese, but don't let that put you off - one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in London. Not fancy, but certainly tasty - and very good value for money.

I have eaten here many times. It is utterly delicious. Try the seared salmon nigiri sushi. It is amazing. Also try the squid starter and the duck salad - slivers of crispy roast duck on a bed of leaves with a delightful sweet sour dressing. Also worth a mention is the green tea ice cream.

for five people - £100 quid - good value

The chef used to work at oriental city(colindale) when they had a sushi bar. He is Malaysian would you believe but immensely talented.
