We were wondering where to go for dinner recently, and having heard that Il Fornello in Southampton Row had a fantastic fish menu, we decided to try it. First off, as an Italian restaurant, fish is referred to as pesce in their menu. Already sounds good, I told my wife, who is crazed for fish. Anyway, it was stupendous!I had the Merluzzo alla Livornese. What, you say? It’s cod with tomato, white wine, garlic, parsley and olive oil. I bet I wouldn’t find better in Livorno. It was delicious!
Choosing a venue for a special meeting can be a delicate affair because you really do have to please all your guests. At Il Fornello they satisfied our requests marvellously. They prepared the room to our specifications. The food and service were impeccable. Il Fornello came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint!
This friendly Italian eatery has been in business for nearly 35 years which is an indication of the quality of the food and staff. Faith Zorba, the manager and his team continue to provide excellent meals to locals and tourists alike. My wife and I have eaten here on a regular basis for nearly 5 years and have never been disappointed. I strongly recommend a visit either for lunch or dinner and be prepared for a very good meal.
Il Fornello is my favourite restaurant in London. Every we time we visit the capital we try and eat at Il Fornello. Wonderful food and all the staff seem Italian, which is always a good sign.

Il Fornello is one of our favorite restaurants in London. We try to dine there whenever we are in town. Food is excellent, prices are very reasonable and service is exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended.
