Being naturally cautious, I was dubious that Il Mascalzone would live up to the acclamation it had received from friends who had dined there previously. I needn't have worried. This place delivers in spades.
Wonderfully cooked simple Italian dishes. Great value. There is honestly nothing I have tried on my frequent visits that hasn't been exquisite. Think I'm being over the top? Try the veal. You won't regret it.
The staff are friendly and genuine too, and really go out of their way to give you a good time, whether it's a big crowd or you've just popped in on a Tuesday night because you can't be bothered to cook.
Best Italian in south west London.
