I had a very bad lunch experience at Il Siciliano and would never go back nor would I recommend it to anyone. The starters were ok I guess (just) the mains came cremated and burnt to the plate and they still served it with no apology. And the bill for abysmal food and service? £50. We were ignored and waited for our ‘food’ for a while although there was nobody in the restaurant. I guess it took a while to burn stuff that well. I’d rather eat my feet.

If you want good, cheap Italian food, get to Il Sicilino. It’s just so much better than anywhere else. Still sat here reading this? I thought I told you to get down to Il Sicilino. Honestly...?!?

Il Siciliano has a lovely atmosphere and charming service. The food is freshly cooked and appetisingly served. The grilled sardines were particularly delicious on my last visit. There is a nice choice of sweets and a decent wine list (the wine glasses are ridiculously huge, however). A smashing little place and reasonably priced.
