Having been to many galleries and museums, and working in a gallery myself, I felt this was the best museum cafe I've come across in a long time - much better than the several Peyton and Byrne and Benugo museum cafes and restaurants I've visited.

The cakes are very enticing and the soups, stews and sandwiches all beautifully made. The cafe itself is very light and airy, and kept very clean. However, most of the credit must go to the staff - I visited on several occasions and each time every member of staff was friendly, helpful and very efficient.

Oh, and they do damn good jam tarts.

We visited the Museum and popped into cafe for a quick bite to eat before venturing around a little more. Lovely food at affordable prices.
