This WAS my favourite restaurant for dim sum with its variety and innovative menu. But what I experienced in the last 3 visits have been appalling!
First we were shown to our seats, which was so closely packed that you had to push the person in the table behind forwards before you can get into your own seat. Then at the end of the meal, as soon as you put your last bite into your mouth they rushed over to take all your cutlery away without making sure if we wanted any more food or dessert. Then they came back with the bill, without us asking for it. We sat to finish our tea, during which time then they came over twice and looked under the bill to see if we had paid. Then they took our teapot away! However, we forgave them seeing that it was busy.
The next time I went, the same rudeness in staff and service was seen again and my guests were fuming when they walked out of that restaurant.
But the last straw came when we last visited. This time we went on a weekday lunch, so not that busy. We were just having our drinks after the main savoury foods and they took away our dessert on the table saying "You've finished haven't you" at the same time. We had to stop the waitress and tell her we are still eating. After dessert, two of us had stopped eating, so our cutlery was again removed even though one of us was still eating and there were still food on the table! So we asked for it to be put in a doggy bag and asked if they had microwavable containers. She shouted back "What? You want us to microwave this for you!" So I repeated the question, to which she replied "If you put it in a microwave it will explode!" (This is bearing in mind that we both speak Chinese so no language barrier). So we gave up and let her carry on to put it into a container. A disaster all round.
