Service was comical - having ordered a chilean white, we asked the maitre d' which part of chile it was from....his response: "South Africa I think"....
Main course turbot scored a zero for presentation. The the fish came with bones in (big, sharp ones at that), but far, far worse was to to come. The fish was so far from fresh it might as well have been discovered in Tutenkahmun's tomb. When asked by the maitre d' if everything was OK, we told him our honest opinion of the fish. He looked flabbergasted but went away to check the delivery note for the offending item. He returned, and with admirable frankness he told us it had arrived on Friday....5 days prior to it gracing my plate. I told him I though that was shocking, and while he admitted that for a £19 piece of fish it was unacceptable, he did say that he had seen worse.....Lord knows where! He removed the dish from our bill and was unstintingly apologetic, saying he had thrown the rest of the delivery in the bin and would inform the owners.
I read with interest that the head chef is 25. He won't last into his thirties in this career if he tries to pull of this kind of fishy caper in the future.
Outrageously bad

Went to Jimmy's for an anniversary on the recommendation of friends and with a degree of nervousness given the importance of the night. I'm delighted to report that from our arrival the night was spectacular with the staff going out of their way to make us feel special - even down to putting my girlfriends flowers in their cold room to keep them fresh whilst we ate. The crab cocktail was the best I have ever eaten and my wife's parfait was light yet rich all at the same time. Rib-eye was cooked to perfection with an amazing peppercorn sauce and my girlfriend claims that her chicken is definitely 'the best in the world'. For me, the chips were the star turn, incredibly chunky, crispy and fluffy in the middle and presented in a miniature chip basket. We didn't think that we had room for desert until we saw the menu and were seduced by a 'little pot of chocolate with toasted marshmallows' and knickerbocker glory (the chef's speciality apparently). Not only were they both out of this world but they came on plates with 'Happy Anniversary' piped on in chocolate - a very nice thought which won me many brownie points with my lady. All this for only £27.50 for 3 courses. And just in case it was a one off, we went back for Sunday lunch - and it was just as good.

Bish bash bosh! The food came out in bits and was very sloppy indeed. The vegetables were tired and the overall presentation seemed rushed.

The place itself looks quite formal but in fact it isn't. You can't quite tell what the place is aiming for. The artwork looks like someone has regurgitated the day’s meal up the walls and it was empty-quite a lonely eating atmosphere.

Why eat at Jimmy's when you can just go next door or slightly further up the road for the same price and better experience?

I have been to Jimmy's a dozen times or more since it opened and it really is a very very good restaurant. The service is world class now that the owner is there most of the time and the food has remained consistently excellent. The menu has grown slightly and changes regularly. It is full of beautiful produce that is simply but elegantly presented. I went for my birthday last week and was treated like royalty - even down to a special dessert plate made just for me! My absolute favourite restaurant in London!

Great room, friendly service, not formal but very glam. Food beautifully simple but fresh and very well done. Absolute highlights are the chips and the bakewell tart. I want to eat here every day.

how nice it is to finally see a british restaurant on the kings road, something chelsea has been lacking since i can remember! the room is beautiful, cream leather seat upstairs with funky chairs in the main restaurant and i loved the atmosphere while the music choice was suited perfectly. The food is to die for! i went for the marinated pork salad and lemon sole which had been shallowed fried, simple you may feel, yes id agree, but when the dishes are cooked to such a high standard, why would you want to eat anything else? I had the sorbet to finish, im not really a dessert fan, but by the time our mains were cleared, i found it difficult to think about anything else, a great way to end a meal if your too stuffed for pudding. The staff are really friendly and i love their uniforms, nice to see something other than the traditional black faded shirts you find in most establishments. ill be back very very soon

Any restaurant that produces freshly baked bread that contains black pudding deserves a Michelin Star!
