Utterly awful! As an Aussie and general pie appreciater, I was excited by the idea of an Aussie pie shop in London. Shame that they decided to copy the business model of a short-lived fad from Perth called Jester's Pies. The Aussie pie is a masterpiece, but the 'jaffle' pie crazy kicked off by Jesters resulted in vastly inferior products. But at least Jester's pies were edible. Jumbucks' pies make the soggiest pub pie you've had taste like haute cuisine. Avoid this place unless you want to buy from their non-pie Australian product range.

I am surprised to read this review and its inaccuracies. Whilst everyone is entitled to an opinion, I believe it should be factual.
Jesters Pies started in 1997, and is still going strong - so please correct me if I am wrong, but I would not call that it is a "shortlived fad". Jumbuck's pies are not soggy, not are they inedible. I would be interested to learn what you base this comment on, and why you would post such a defamatory comment on a site such as View London? If you had a grievance with your experience, surely you would discuss it with somebody from Jumbuck's first?
I believe Jumbuck's pies are amazing, and agree with all of the other comments listed and would ignore the comments made by mrjamin and make up your own mind.

Me and a mate found this place by pure chance and I'm so glad we did. It's a cosy little place with seating for only a handful of people. I had some little pastry parcels called 'Dimmies' which were very tasty, but the top prize goes to their Steak and Cheese pies called 'The Kiwi'... Wow, so tasty it's criminal.

They also have a massive selection of Australian and New Zealand sweets (Pinapple Chunks are favourite).

A mate of mine said that the prices here compared to back home (New Zealand) are very high, but I guess you pay extra for the import costs and for just being in london...

Staff here are cool and very chatty, the other shops in the area could learn a thing or ten...

Overall great place and next chance I will get loads of pies and stick 'em in my freezer :P

Oh my god these pies are amazing! Jumbucks is a real find.

The guy behind the counter told me that the pastry is some kind of magic stuff that doesn't have as many calories as normal pastry which means you can eat them without feeling guilty - which is just great! I will definitely be going back to Jumbucks.
