This is one place that I can't fault - it has the "kopitiam" atmosphere reminiscent of home, with the friendly servers that try so hard to accomodate their customers. Most importantly, the food is amazing - I would recommend to try the Ko Lo Mee, which has changed somewhat from before, but definitely for the better. Then there's the Satay, Or Luak (cooked by the head chef, I've been told) and che tow kway that bring me back to the streets of Singapore. Don't forget the Pai Tee, Char Kway Teow and Nonya Laksa ! I've been there so regularly now, that the servers recognise me, remember my likes and even the way I like my drinks ! For a restaurant that only lays claims to serving honest to goodness food from the Straits, the service was what impressed me greatly. Kudos to the staff and the ever pleasant manageress, who leads by example - the staff now are even better than before and look like they are having more fun with their customers !

Kiasu is exactly what it says on the box - charming service, great food and (for London) very good value. The otak otak and satay are perfect, the char kway teow scrumptious, and don't miss the wonderful bubur cha cha to finish. I disagree with the 'official' reviewer about the pai tee – I found them delicious, and a Malaysian friend says they are perfect. Going again soon.

I attended a working lunch at Kiasu and I have to say have the time at the restaurant was spent discussing the food. I have since taken my wife there on our Anniversary and she loved it too. Kiasu is one of those well kept secrets that should be shouted about.
