What a wonderful place Kukus Nest is. Really enjoyed the party there at the weekend. The place is designed with a lot of thought & real style.
We had the whole of the upper floor for a party full of kids & adults.
The layout & organisation was first class. The bar area was buzzing & we had a dance floor. The food was excellent. There was plenty of tables, seats & plasma's. It was great how the tv's on the wall had different things running on them, rather than all being linked up to MTV. The kids corner had cartoons, music on another & family photo history run on another...brilliant! The staff were very helpful indeed & they allowed the young kids to just enjoy the occasion (even though the kids were running mini riots :) )
Everybody loved the chance to go downstairs onto the ground floor bar area & restaurant to see the amazing floor features.
A great place for a party or any occasion...we need a place like this in Nottingham...welldone!

the best place in Essex. Modern, excellent food and top service. I went there with my husband for our anniversary. We had such a great time. After finishing our meal we went upstairs at the Bar Lounge and stayed there till closing. I will recommend Kukus Nest Restaurant & Bar Lounge to everyone.

Quite simply the place is terrible. Rude staff. A lost identity if you are expecting modern European as it describes you will be sadly disappointed if anything it's trying to be an up Market indian shame the food is not up Market. It seems to be poorly managed and the atmosphere is dull. It is situated poorly surrounded by cheap shops and chicken takeaways. It was a really poor choice and over priced !! We will not be re visiting!

I've been a regular at this venue from when it opened... really happy for Goodmayes to have such a plush venue but truly disappointed with my last three visits from September 2011. The menu has totally changed to Indian, some of our dishes were cold, the service was poor and the venue was untidy this place has gone downhill and we wont be going back... Nov 2011

I had my 30th birthday celebrations at 'The Kuku's Nest' last night, in the bar.
I could not fault anything! Unique and a breath of fresh air for Goodmayes...Loved the decor and the cultural themes that were embraced.
I have never been to a bar before where the staff are so welcoming, accomododating, flexible, thoughtful and helpful. It'll be a birthday to remember!
I will definitley be going back there and recommending it to all.
A great big thank you to Jas, Bob, Neelam, Ghenti and Bhir....and the rest of the bar staff/DJ's....:)

I've been there a few times for drinks at the bar upstairs. I've also been there for a friends stag party. This time I went there for a meal with my with and two sons. My youngest son is always hard work anywhere you take him, but this place had his mind occupied with the fish in the floor. He enjoyed this very much. The service has always been 5 star. I would definitely go there again. The food was very good for all the family. Highly recommended 5 star all the way.

Went for a meal today, my first time at KuKus Nest, and I thought it was great for the area, I live in Dagenham. My husband is well acquainted with the place as his late nights prove, the people are very nice and the food was lovely.

Dined at Kuku,s nest twice now, could not fault anything, brilliant atmosphere, lovely decor and a posh yet relaxed feel, its was like a jewel in the middle of ilford.

the food was excellent, a perfect blend the staff very friendly and courteous.

The owners went out of their way to make our special day (we were celebrating our birthdays with approx 20 -25 people) .

We could not have chosen a better place

The best part is that it was two sections where one can go have a few drinks in the Sports /Lounge bar and then eat in the restaurant downstairs.

Most of our friends could not comment the chef enough for the excellent food, it was a big surprise for them finding someplace so good in Essex as many of them had come from West and Central London.

A lot of attention has been paid to everything, even the Music is different in parts of the place.

Planning another trip this week for a romantic meal.

I have eaten at Kukus twice now and have enjoyed everything about it. The food was great, especially the baby chicken. The service was excellent, very helpful.
The bar upstairs is very cool, feels like you are in a funky place in London, the interior is stylish and comfortable.
A must for everyone, highly recommended.

I enjoyed a lovely meal at Kuku's Nest with my family last week. The food was delicious, especially the starters...it was the best chaat I have ever eaten. The service was warm and welcoming and the decor was definitely not what I expected from Ilford! I felt as if I was in a fancy restaurant in the West End. Fantastic place, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Came here on the opening night, never looked back, been here every week since. The owners are here to welcome you, and are very friendly and accommodating, which transfers down to all staff. The food is too die for, everything taste fresh. I recommend Kukus Nest to everyone looking for a good night out with good food, and a happy friendly environment.

Went to Kukus Nest for an Anniversary dinner. The restaurant is lovely, and takes you to a place which could easily be located in Central London, rather than Goodmayes! The food was great as we feasted on The Chaat Slate, The Meat Slate, and delicious Risotto balls. And that was just the starters! I had the Lamb cutlets for my main, which were well cooked and beautifully presented. Dessert was also lovely. Apple and toffee crumble! Yum! As well as the food, the wine was lovely, and the glasses were never empty. The great thing about Kukus Nests is that it caters for everyone, regardless of the type of food you like. A final word on the staff. They were tentative, happy and always willing to help 11 out of 10 for service. Good job guys, will be back very soon :)

Visited Kuku's nest last week for a friends birthday. Food was enjoyed by all, extremely flavoursome and really well presented, very refreshing to see in Ilford. The decor was laid-back, funky and contemporary. Staff couldn't have been more accomodating, really helpful and polite. For a great night out that's on Ilford's doorstep Kuku's nest will not disappoint, will definately be visiting again.

I went there last week for my son's 8th birthday & what a wonderful surprise & experience... the food was decorative, contemporary, I had the stake, my wife had a lamb curry, my son had a pasta dish. staff where really helpful and you wont believe the floor in the restaurant...! IT HAS 2 6FT DEEP FISH TANKS 7M X 3M EACH with 40 KOI WOW... after our meal we went upstairs to a lovely spacious bar-lounge.. you could be anywhere in the world once you enter the doors certainly not in Goodmayes 5 STARS from me all the way...!
