La Bodeguita del Medio is pretty authentic Cuba considering this is on Kensington Court. The Mojito, which should be the litmus test for any self respecting Cuban bar, was excellent - the barman clearly knew what he was doing. La Bodeguita del Medio is definitely worth a visit, especially when you consider the dearth of any good bars in this area.

A Cuban bar in Kensington seems somewhat oxymoronic, but it seemed very popular when we visited last week. The food was pretty darn good and the salt cod fritter my friend ordered was exceptional. La Bodeguita del Medio even got my Mojito pretty much perfect, which has to be the test of any bar with Cuban pretensions. I was very impressed.
