Not a single vegetarian option among the main courses? Ok I know this is a French restaurant and the French like their meat but - as a vegetarian I was taken here but my publisher and was embarassed to have to ask the waiter specially if they could make me something that was not on the menu. It is pure snobbery (or something?) not to include a vegetarian option as there are millions of vegetarians in London. If they are trying to make some kind of point by not including us in the options then it is not a point that is well made. And it's a shame as the restaurant is beautiful and the service was charming.

such a charming restaurant! my dining experience was just perfect, alittle on the cosy side but this would only be a problem for an extreme clautrophobic and only adds to the buzzing atmosphere. the food was amazing and the staff made dining at la pout au pot a real pleasure.

An absolutely fantastic place to eat. One of the most amazing pieces of venison I have ever had the fortune to sample. Charming and attentive staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. I'd definitely return there.

The ambience is rustic, candlelit and romantic, the grub is superb, the prices are reasonable, the winelist is great and almost without exception every member of staff is French. What more could you possibly want? Allez, allez, allez!
