Went to this restaurant at 6:30pm before going to a show at the Apollo at 8pm as it looked nice. We were seated without menus and it took 10mins for someone to come over with some. We asked our waitress whether we'd be able to eat and get out in an hour, she said this would be fine. Unfortunately it took another 20mins for our drinks to arrive, and after asking the waiters a few times for our food, we ended up leaving at 7:40pm having still not received it. Nobody was embarrassed by this, not even the manager and we received no apology. At this point the table next to us had waited to order for half an hour, several others were waiting without food and we saw a couple a few tables along from us chasing the manager around the restaurant trying to pay as they'd been waiting for around 20mins just to do this.

They looked like they had enough staff (2 barmen, 3/4 waitresses and 4/5 chefs) but the restaurant was terribly run - I wouldn't go here unless you have a few hours to spare!

We went to McDonald's in the end (which was great)!

Came across LaLa by chance on a recent visit to the Apollo.
What a lovely restaurant, food, service and ambiance was very good.
The food was reasonably priced and very well presented, staff very helpful and friendly.
Shame I live so far away. Shall definitely go again when next In the area.
