Lanes has changed a lot since I was last there. The room is much more stylish and the atmosphere which might have lacked before is now in abundance.

Food was great as always, very well executed with good quality ingredients. I particulary loved the fish and chips (new chips were amazing) and my friend had a lovely piece of aged beef with roasties!

Service was respectful but not overly formal which made my client and I relax, everything arrived quickly.

Worth a revisit if you haven't been for a while.

I have been to Lanes many times since it opened at the end of last year. Lanes I am pleased to say has enjoyed excellent reviews from some of the big london writers and deserves them all.

At lunch the food is fast and delicious, I love the freshwater trout and there is an elegant smoked eel salad I keep coming back to.

Nightime sees a cooler fun, young crowd that are dining for pleasure not business. The bar also fills up and is good for cocktails, wine, beer & champagne. Last week I saw a group of traders do a case of Cristal with style. What more can I say, Lanes is the way forward. Lunch for two with wine & service is about £80.
