Having been a resident in marylebone for some time i have never managed to eat at L'Autre pied. Considering it's a Michelin starred restaurant two minutes from my door step i thought I'd give it a go.

Great restaurant just off the high street. Went with a friend on Tuesday evening and the restaurant was nice and busy, not sure if it was full but certainly enough people to create a buzzing atmosphere.

I must admit i class myself as a bit of a foodie but my friend prefers the more safe/accessible type of cuisine so we decided to go for the Autumn set menu which seemed very good value for money.

The food was excellent however looking at the autumn menu i thought it read like a dumbed down version of a few a la Carter dishes, but i was proved wrong every dish tasted and looked fantastic.

Service was also top class with great wines selected by the wine waiter so all in all a great night in my local restaurant.I will definitely be back.

This used to be a favourite of my wife and mine. Had been 6 or 7 times.

Always been fabulous. Unfortunately it seems to be going down hill. Had two awful experiences since. The dinner was decidedly ordinary.

Looks like they were saving money on ingredients oh and shocking service. Thought we would give it a second chance, this time for lunch.

Food was actually quite good, but service shocking. The manageress very aggressive and rude, telling us off for complaining that we had waited 55 minutes for our main course , (remember its lunch time for goodness sake!!).

She had decided we had only waited 30 minutes and kindly explained to us the art of cooking and timing. Nice touch.

It might prepare french style cooking but I can do without the French style arrogance....from an Australian manageress! (I am actually of dual nationality...half Australian, brought up in London...so nothing against the Ozzies!).

The young charming French waiter was actually very embarrassed by her attitude, but couldn't say anything. Obviously we would never go back, which is a real shame.

Took my fiancé here for dinner. The food was excellent but there wasn't much choice! But overall a really nice restauraunt
