I must say that I am a fussy person and reading some of the reviews I was not sure what to expect.
Well after my First visit, second, third and many more, I must say that this restaurant is one of the best I have eaten in.
In France the standards are very high, so in my experience when you go to a nice place in France to eat, 9 times out of 10 you will get a great meal.
In England, I feel it is always hit and miss in the French Restaurants I have been to. Well, this place is a hit and the staff just great.
The menu is in French, but you can make it out if you know a little and the staff were always at hand to help.
It is not a big place, so space is limited, but it was very cosy and the atmosphere was just right.
The Wine list was very good and my Wife picked out the right one to go with our meal.
I am a professional cook myself, and the standards here are very high and the flavours of the food just make you want to ask for more and more.
Will be going again and another good point was that the price was reasonable.

We visited L'Aventure Restaurant on Valentines Day this year on high recommendation from a colleague.

We were greeted by a waitress with an attitude who was nonchalant and brusque, clattering cutlery on our table. For a bill of £120, with service charge, I was expecting the service at L'Aventure Restaurant to at least be effortless.

The food was pleasant enough but average. The French menu is a nice touch but when our waitress bristled over a slight translation required it just made it seem pretentious.

I’ve had a few great meals at the Ivy for a lesser price with fantastic service. It was a real shame because the service at L'Aventure Restaurant tainted a romantic night.

The staff at L'Aventure never fail to make us feel like their most important patrons. The food is always more than wonderful and the wines superb. We leave always anticipating our next visit!
