Went to Le Cochonnet the other day on a recommendation from a friend and while the food was excellent and generously sized, the service was absolutely abysmal, with most of their wine list being unavailable and an intolerable delay in getting anything we asked for.



I have since heard from other people that they have had worse experiences. Such a pity as otherwise Le Cochonnet would have been a wonderful place to know.

I have had four great meals at Le Cochonnet since moving to Maida Vale last year. It is not just a great pizza/Italian restaurant but they also do great contemporary and traditional dishes, including a great steak and brilliant poultry dishes. Le Cochonnet has reasonable prices all year round and a great selection of wines. The staff are well mannered, competent and knowledgeable. This place has a great atmosphere, especially on a summer's evening with the front of house open to the lovely Maida Vale environment. A definate 5/5 from us and from all of our visitors who we have taken here ever since we discovered this great venue.

My husband and I pass Le Cochonnet en route to the park and finally made our way inside in April 2005. What a gem! The service was fantastic and the food is terrific! The beverage list is massive and they even go so far as to make suggestions to accompany the various dishes on the menu. The food is a great price with great food and a great atmosphere! Le Cochonnet did very well given how busy they were and I'd recommend booking or getting there early to make sure you get a seat. Not a quiet place for an intimate dinner but who cares? This place is great!
