We visited Le Vacherin for lunch and had a really enjoyable meal. Fantastic value and exactly what we had hoped for - superb French cooking and friendly service! Highly recommended!
Having recently moved to Chiswick we have been busily trying out all the local restaurants and without exception this was the best.
It's exactly what every French neighbourhood restaurant should be, we immediately felt at home in this rather smart room with some fabulous little touches that makes it feel like a little piece of France in Chiswick.
It was a Wednesday evening and the place was packed which gave it the lovely buzzy vibe. We started with a gorgeous slab of pan fried foie gras served with the biggest fattest juiciest baked figs I've ever seen, fabulous....... the foie melted in our mouths and there was just enough seasoning in the reduction. We then moved on to the main course a wonderful piece of beef, simply grilled and served with the Marrow bone and near perfect clearly double cooked chips, I'm not sure but I think they'd been cooked in goose fat....all in all carnivore heaven though the table next to us had a fabulous piece of Turbot which I will definitely try next time as it looked just as good. We couldn't manage dessert as we were just too full.....The service was friendly and not too stuffy, we didn't once feel rushed despite being the last people in there.....If you live near go now....if you don't It's definitely worth an excursion.
What a lovely place.Went there on Monday evening, and what a treat on such a cold evening.
The food was cooked to perfection and the service was brilliant, even on a quiet night.
Fabulous.
This is a gem of a place which is building a devoted following of gourmets. Malcolm Johns the chef proprietor cooks with an authentic French style and considerable flair. The decor is brasserie type and the staff are genuinely welcoming but it is the food which marks this restaurant out as one of the finest in West London.
I have been to Le Vacherin many times and have always come away with that warm glow of satisfaction which comes from excellent cuisine. It is also very reasonably priced and has a good wine list.
Le Vacherin is a fantastic restaurant, the food is outstanding and the service great. The menu is made up of classic French dishes and regularly changes with the ingredient seasons.
Everything at Le Vacherin is cooked to perfection and the bistro style decor really sets it all off. If you are looking for a great place for lunch or dinner, then Le Vacherin is it.
Le Vacherin is a very nice little French place near my house. Never had a bad meal in there, and the staff are always really friendly to me.
Le Vacherin does some fantastic (authentically French!) fries.
