Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. Food was nice, but a customer knocked my glass of wine all over my girlfriend whilst we were eating the main course. Completely incompetent and inattentive staff made her clean the coat on her own whilst I sat at the table for 15 mins while our food went cold and they slowly prepared a new table. Very embarrassing. At the end of the meal, they had the audacity to add service charge. I had to have a row with the duty manager in front of all the other punters because he thought it was our fault. He eventually offered a glass of Champagne ‘on the house.’ Cheers, but we were so incensed had to leave. Complained via email and got a lame response 3 weeks later saying ‘they did all they could.’ dreadful management, dreadful staff, unpleasant dining experience. Don’t bother. If anyone would like me to forward them the complaint and response emails, please let me know.
Ok it is a bit pricey but I think its worth it. We had a good evening with great service. The food was excellent particularly the desserts. The interior is amazing and the experience as a whole is highly recommended. We have now booked our Christmas party there and I cant wait to go back. The tiger and giraffe are incredible and a rare sight these days. And of course the handbags... a unique installation
Les trois Garcons is incredible. I have been there once before but it seems even better these days. Those garcons really have their heads screwed on!. The duck was exemplary and my partners bouillabaisse was fantastic. The setting is a sure winner with the ladies and its perfect for a romantic evening. Highly recommended!
Lovely decor, a fun experience, food disappointing, service attentive. As a whole I found this restaurant overpriced, I don't mind spending money on fine dining but this to me was was not up to scratch with the food. But a fun place to go with friends nonetheless as the setting is so surreal.
The interior of Les Trois Garcons is fabulous, with glass beads and handbags hanging from the ceiling, and stuff birds and animals in the corners and on the walls. Great atmosphere and I was really looking forward to dining here. However. I recently visited with my grandmother and were very disappointed with the service. When my grandmother asked what soft drinks they had, the waitor looked at her with a curled upper lip: All of them. So, my grandmother asked for an elderflower cordial. They didn't have any elderflower cordial. Then she asked for a fresh orange juice. They didn't have any fresh orange juice. We repeated our question of: What soft drinks do you have? And this time he deigned to reply: coke, lemonade and juices from concentrate. Terrible choice if you don't drink alcohol! The waitor had a lot of attitude. He was a native French speaker, so when my grandmother, who speaks French, began a conversation with him, he did not play along, but instead refused to reply in French and returned all her questions in obstinate English. Which I thought was unnecessarily rude. And the restaurant manager! He could not have been more horrible if he tried. He actually almost made me cry when I asked for an extra chair at our table, when he dragged me over to look at their computer system and demanded I show him where on my booking request I had mentioned an extra chair. I explained that we hadn't known an extra person was going to be able to make it. He asked us to leave. Not very politely either. Bit extreme! So we had to leave the restaurant! He actually threw us out of the restaurant! I thought he handled the situation very poorly, not to mention the fact that he totally spoiled our evening! I only get to see my grandparents once a year since they live in Greece, and I was so hoping to have a lovely evening. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.
We recently visited this restaurant and were very disappointed. It is extremely overpriced for the quality of food and the service was not good. My main course of fish of the day was overcooked. Although we complained, no apologies were offered and we had to wait over 20 minutes for a replacement dish. On our way out we mentioned our disappointment to the manager, only to be greeted with a defensive arrogant attitude and nothing near to an apology. If only they realised - a slightly more courteous attitude would go a long way. The prices suggest that this is a quaity London restaurant, but I think one could pay half the price and have a better dining experience. Will not be going back.
Very interesting menu and wonderful products. You can taste the freshness in all dishes. Its nice to find a place where they have pride in serving great food and have a friendly service. The ambience is incredible. I felt i was in Paris with a hint of exoticness.A truly memorable evening with the right balance of everything.
Its funny how we think that if a restaurant has a nice decor the food must be rubbish. So i was ready to be disappointed when i was blown away by the interiors. How wrong was i, the food is really on par with the decor. Its quite rare to find a place that is so special. The service is great without being over bearing. The food may seem expensive in the beginning but at the of the end meal after you have tasted and savored the quality of the ingredients and after the amuse bouche and petit fours you realise that its really good value in comparison to a lot of other restaurants of the same price range. would love to try the tasting menu with the wine pairing the next time. can't wait !!
