Its funny how we think that if a restaurant has a nice decor the food must be rubbish. So i was ready to be disappointed when i was blown away by the interiors. How wrong was i, the food is really on par with the decor. Its quite rare to find a place that is so special. The service is great without being over bearing. The food may seem expensive in the beginning but at the of the end meal after you have tasted and savored the quality of the ingredients and after the amuse bouche and petit fours you realise that its really good value in comparison to a lot of other restaurants of the same price range. would love to try the tasting menu with the wine pairing the next time. can't wait !!

Heard about this amazing restaurant for ages and never had the opportunity to visit. Finally a friend to me there by surprise and it surpassed all my expectations. The minute you walk in you felt like you were in a bustling parisian restaurant. There was french torch songs playing in the background. The maitre'd was a charming french man who sat us promptly. We had a really nice table facing the room and we could inspect all the clients entering and leaving the room.
It was so fascinating to see such an eclectic collection of people in one room. Its very clear that the ladies make a commendable effort to dress up to compliment the decor. Its so nice to see people dress up to go out these days when people don't even dress up to go to the opera.I must say it was a very appealing crowd that comes here.
The room was all that i have read and even better in reality. Its like watching a movie that does justice to the book. Its so refreshing to see a truly unique interior. The interior is tasteful kitsch and i can see if others try it , it would probably look tacky. There is just the right balance fun and glamour. Dining out after all is about escapism. Here you are transported into another world. The perfect venue to be if you want to forget your worries.Les Trois Garcons is a converted victorian pub but manages to dispel the heavy feel of a normal pub.
The food is pure joy and very expertly executed. I was expecting the food not to be on the same level as the ambience but i was pleasantly surprised. The food is on par to any of the michelin star restaurants i have been to.The public probably assume the food would not be the focus but in this instant it is.
The service was efficient and polite. The staff are obviously well informed about what they were selling. There were ingredients that i did not recognize and was enlighten by the knowledgeable staff.
It has been a long time that i have been so taken by a dining experience that i felt i had to share it with others.

Yummy is the first word that comes to mind. This word is apt for the food, decor and ambience. The location is quite weird. You would never have thought that a restaurant such as this would exist in this area. It's quite barren and grey but its a hive of activity on a friday night. This is an area i am not familiar with but it reminds me of the meat packing district in New York. There is a certain vibe that i like. Their sister bar Loungelover could easily be at home in New York. That bar is something else! Its so inviting and warm and theatrical. The cocktails are great. A different crowd slightly to Les Trois Garcons, perhaps a bit younger but still fashionable and hip.
Coming back to the restaurant proper, i was so impressed with the food. The portions are very generous, i ate everything though. Each dish is a discovery for our taste buds. The chefs have a good understanding of flavours and are not afraid to experiment. There were a few ingredients that we have not tried before, so it was also an educational experience for us.
The interiors are amazing, there are no decoration stereotypes here. Glamour is the key word here. We really enjoyed looking around and talking about the unusual pieces. There was a bejeweled tiger and a crowned giraffe. All this does not steal away from the professionalism of this restaurant. The thing that stands out the most is the quality of the ingredients and the friendliness of the staff.Would be more than happy to recommend it to my friends.

A very different restaurant. You don't feel like you are in london when you are there. The decor is really unusual and interesting. We spotted so many fun touches. Its cosy without looking like your grandma's house. There's a great vintage handbag collection. I wouldn' t mind having some of them. The staff are quite informative about the history of the place.
I was also impressed by the staff's food and wine knowledge. Apparently the chef chooses to use the most seasonal local product. It really shows in the cooking as it was really fresh and tasty. The combination of ingredients are very clever and unexpected and it really works. Some of the dishes were an eye opener.
The service was impeccable and friendly. We were informed about our out by time which we were aware of anyways when we made the booking. The service was very smooth and well timed. We managed a 3 course meal in 2 hours and felt unhurried. The possibility to carry on to Loungelover was very welcomed.
To sum it up the whole evening was really enjoyable and memorable.I find it difficult to find another place to match up to this place for glamour, decadence , good food and excellent service.

Had a really enjoyable time here. The food was really good. The atmosphere was really unique. There was an interesting crowd there. Its very difficult to describe the typical clientele as they are so varied. Went on to their bar Loungelover after and that was fun. My only gripe was that we arrived late for our booking and had to leave before desserts as the second booking was waiting at the door. Next time we will come on time.

Had the pleasure to be invited by my boyfriends parents to this incredible restaurant. Can't believe i have never been. The room is absolute theater and every where you look there's something to catch your eye. It was really busy when we arrived and the manageress was a little curt but that all changed when the room was more settled.
The food was really in tune with the decor, its artistically laid out and tasted every bit as as good as it looked. My boyfriend's parents are regulars here and i can understand why. Les Trois Garcons left a lasting impression and i will be bringing my best friends there soon.

Amazing dinner at Les Trois Garcons. We had the tasting menu and were duly impressed. Its not an easy feat as there were 5 of us and we all dine out a lot. The portion were just right leaving us enough room for the delicious dessert. We also had the wines to accompany the tasting menu which was very well chosen.
The price is really fair for the produce they provided. Great care has gone into selecting the right ingredients. The waiter we had, explained and described each dish expertly. They were also very kind to my friend who was vegetarian. This place was recommended by a friend and i was truly enchanted by the whole evening. Its a must on the london circiut as most guide books have indicated.

We had a fantastic time on friday night. We had the first sitting and continued our evening on at their equally fabulous bar Loungelover located just behind the restaurant. We found the two hours allocated for the dinner was unhurried and gave us enough time to admire the eccentric interiors.
The service was really professional without being stuffy. The staff are really well informed about their menu and wines. There was an amazing amuse bouche to begin our wonderful gastronomic adventure. The chefs uses seasonal produce locally as much as possible we were told by our lovely waiter. The scallops were incredibly fresh and juicy. They also use very unusual greens. The combinations are surprising and innovative
The clientele are a very interesting mixture just like the decor. Its very refreshing to see such a wide cross section of people in one room. This restaurant obviously appeals to the more adventurous as we spotted people we know who normally frequents Kensington and Knightsbridge.
Ending the evening at Loungelover was absolutely prefect as we could continue the evening in the same decadent manner but in a different ambiance.Everyone agreed both venues are true London institutions and the ingredients of making London fun.

Les Trois Garcons is nothing more than a photo opp posing as a restaurant. From start to finish my experience with this overpriced, sham of an eatery was unpleasant and borderline horrible. The reservations receptionist (who could do with a Berlitz class or two) was rude, scattered and totally unhelpful. I inquired about the menu content and pricing structure. "Prix Fixe Menu £42." According to her, was my only option. I asked a few simple questions about what would be served (since the website is apparently not up-to-date). Her sputtery, incoherent response prompted me to ask to speak to a manager. This made her defensive and angry. I called back later that evening and spoke to a very stoic manager who mentioned another dining option "Half price on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but we don't advertise that." Umm, okay. I was then prompted to call back in the morning because she apparently didn't have access to the reservations book.Perhaps "the three boys" would be better to invest in a few customer-service tutorials for their staff rather than blow all their dosh at the antique markets? While tierra-wearing taxidermy IS very cool dinner company the food is terrible (and I do mean TERRIBLE). Okay, the glass of gazpacho was tasty. The hair (chest or arm? can't be sure) at the bottom of my salad was just a preview. The sea bream (fish) main course smelled and tasted VERY fishy (which of course means it was far from fresh). My dining partner's rump steak was so fatty that half of it was wasted. The chocolate parfait was very nice, but it's hard to screw up chocolate. Our waiter was very attentive and polite (he must be new). Basically we paid £80 for a bit of gazpacho, a nice lump of chocolate and interesting scenery. I write this scathing (but honest) review not to be mean-spirited but to save others from such an expensive disappointment.

I am the General Manager of Les Trois Garcons and I am writing in response to the rather unfair review posted by dogsrule on the 13th of August 2008.

Firstly let me state that all my staff from the front of house to the back of house are extremely passionate in what we do and are proud of our achievements.
We are all terribly shocked and disturbed by this review.

To begin with our receptionist has an excellent command of English. For the information she worked for the British Library in Wroclaw and she got the job mainly on her English level as she had to speak English all day long in the institute. She has been in the country for over 3yrs and worked as a restaurant receptionist since. Since being with us, she has never encountered any problems of being understood by English speaking clients. If dogsrule were to read the website correctly, it clearly states that there is an a la carte menu for 2courses at £42.50 and a prix fixe menu at £27 for 2 courses from Monday to Wednesday. We do not do half price offer.

Clearly dogsrule had the £27 menu, from the description of the meal. I challenge anyone to find a restaurant of our calibre, that serves the freshest and finest ingredients for £27 prix fixe with homemade bread, an amuse bouche and petit fours thrown in.

We have based our reputation on the quality of our food and service.
Our Head Chef Jerome Henry is renowned for his emphasis on the quality of his ingredients and the hygiene of his kitchen. He constantly seeks for the best seasonal products and visits the well known Borough market on a weekly basis. Jerome is very confident of his products as he orders on a daily basis. All our ingredients are traceable and some of our suppliers are with Royal warrants.

As for the comment on the food, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However we would appreciate to hear it on the night as then we can assess the problem and deal with it straight away.

rest to follow in he next reply.... - Report

We are confident that we are providing what the customers want as the restaurant is constantly busy with repeat and recommended clients from all over the world. The proof is in the pudding as they say in this industry. I doubt we would still be open if it was down to our tiara (correctly spelled) wearing taxidermy. In terms of website, it is constantly updated as we change the menu according to what’s in season. Our policy is not to take reservations in the evenings as we do focus on customer service. However we do take your details and call you back the next day. I am rather dubious about the calibre of restaurants that dogsrule dines in if this is an unfamiliar practice. I very much doubt my assistant manager was stoic as she is regularly complimented on her charms. I am perplexed as to why dogsrule mentioned that the waiter was very attentive and polite yet feel that "the three boys" should spend their money in staff training. For information, the waiter who served dogsrule on that night has been with the company for nearly 3 years. I can reassure you that my directors are content with the level of service from my staff that is already professionally trained. Their passion for antiques is not a concern of anyone or mine. We are sorry that dogsrule is not happy but we are very happy in the notion that we tried our best and will always endeavour to do so. I invite anyone who feels that our standards are not to their expectations to contact me directly and explain their issues. Yoann Lancien. - Report

Truly wonderful experience. From the moment we entered till the moment we left, my guests and i were mesmerised by the beauty and quirkiness of Les Trois Garcons. The staff were very attentive without being over bearing. The food is probably the best we have tasted. Judging from all the oohs and aahs coming from all angles, i can safetly say everyone was very contented. We were there for the first sitting and were able to finnish off the evening in the equally delightful bar, Loungelover, located behind them, owned by the same owners. Do not be misled by the place that just opened right next door to them. Les Trois Garcons is certainly unique and certainly a must go restaurant.

It was pure heaven to be at Les Trois Garcons. The food was amazing, so fresh and delicious. I think the chefs have a great understanding of flavours and do not over complicate things. When you have such quality ingredients you do not need to disguise them.

The interior was far from simple, everywhere you looked there something fascinating. The service was smooth without being too in your face. Overall,, Les Trois Garcons was a very memorable experience and we will be going very soon with a new bunch of friends.

I went to Les Trois Garcons with my girlfriend to celebrate. It was the most disappointing night of my life. The food wasn’t the problem. I enjoyed my Foie Gras and the Confit of Rabbit, but I have to say that the Amuse Bouche was too salty and over priced. The waiters were so rude and they behaved so badly they made us feel very uncomfortable from the beginning.

They threw the ash tray on my friends hand and I had to pour my own wine all night. They didn’t explain any of the dishes or wines and their explanation of being short staffed was inadequate. They should stay closed until they can deliver what a customer wants from them. And with £16.00 service charge their customer service should be fantastic. I tried to contact the manager of Les Trois Garcon to complain, but to no avail.

Wow! Talk about mind blowing. I can sincerely say that Les Trois Garcons was one of the best dining experience I have ever had. The dinner was such a perfect balance of ambience, food and service. All my expectations of dining out were met with a smile. Les Trois Garcons is the kind of venue that I would bring clients or loved ones to. Chapeau!

I don't know about Les Trois Garcons - when I visited it was more like several old fellas and a couple of birds. Anyway, Les Trois Garcons is super cool - it looks like a normal pub from the outside but inside it's a cross between an Indian antique shop and Jackie Collin's bedroom (not that I've ever been in either you understand). They have stuffed animals decked out in gold jewellery and crowns on your table - it's very very OTT.
Bring your sunglasses to Les Trois Garcons or risk being blinded by the bling.
