I think this is the best Indian restaurant and takeaway in the area. I have lived in Tufnell Park for 7 years and tried most of the local Indian restaurants and takeaways which, in my opinion, are all quite bog standard.

When this place opened nearly a year ago I went along with a group of friends who also live locally. We all agreed that it was by far the best Indian food we had had in a long time and far better than the other local options.

The staff are friendly and courteous.

The food is fresh and properly spicy.

It is very reasonably priced!

I particularly recommend the Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) and all their veggie side dishes - especially their Tarka Dhal.

They seem to take a lot of care over what they do and I'm sure this is why they are better than the other local options. (I don't understand the popularity of Tiffin Tin - overpriced and unexciting in my opinion).

I think it is a shame that it often seems quiet in this restaurant, I really hope more people try this place out and support this restaurant whose heart seems to me to be very much in the right place and produces delicious Indian food! Give them a go and I hope you are as pleasantly surprised as we were.

Delivery was late by 55 minutes and the person was extremely rude-
We placed an order at 1.39 pm at this restaurant thinking that we
would try a new Indian takeaway but it turned out to be a big big
mistake. The food dint show up for 1 hour and after calling the
restaurant i was told that the food will reach in 5 mins but that was
not the case. I then received a call from the delivery person who was
beyond rude. He claimed he could not find the house which is strange
as no other takeaway on hungry house has had that problem. After
multiple phone conversation with the restaurant and the delivery
person trying to explain where the house he was, he eventually turned up and began to scream at me claiming that the address i had given was incorrect. The argument was so heated that my neighbour came out to see what the commotion was about. I then had to show him a postal letter to verify that i had indeed given them the right address. The delivery person literally took the food out of his bag, dumped it on the floor and stormed out of the apartment. Now that we were an hour and 45 minutes from placing the order we were hoping that the food would at least be edible.

Terrible food -
Obviously the food was cold but we could get past that. The chicken
tikka masala had a thick layer of oil on top of it which we had to
drain and throw into the sink. The tandoori chicken was rock hard. The prawn in the prawn biryani tasted questionable and we ended up
throwing all of it away.

All in all this was an extremely disappointing experience and i am sad that professionals in the service industry treat customers with such disrespect. Goes without saying but i will never order from this place again.

This restaurant is great!

The setting of this restaurant by far exceeds any other small restaurant's look. The interior is filled with many decorations, all making you feel very special. The gentle background music compliments the table and wall displays fantastically. The warmth and the look of the restaurant makes you feel at home.

The food is great! It combines the beauty of Indian cuisine and the touch of the restaurant's own attitude, creating an outstanding meal. The vindaloo is to die for, especially with the many breads and beverages also on the menu. The succulent chilli (and halal) meat dishes really satisfy your tummy, the vegetable spice mixes really tingle your tongue, along with the delicious Indian curries.

Also, the food really matches the budget. My family and I, of six, filled our tummies for less than £30! We were absolutely over the moon with the bill, and we were served straight pretty much in five minutes, resulting in a tip for the restaurant. A great day out, I must say.

All the way from Slough, we enjoyed ourselves greatly, and we will probably go again!

This is a great restaurant.

The serenity and quiet inside is fantastic, and the tables have been beautifully decorated. The theme and the atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel very special, with quiet, peaceful music playing in the background, complimenting the fantastic display lay out on the walls and on your table.

The food is fabulous; the tradition of indian cuisine combined with the touch of the restaurant's personal attitude. The vindaloo is to die for, especially with the variety of breads and beverages all included. From the succulent meat dishes to the mouth watering chilly curries and the delicious vegetable mixes, this restaurant really has it all.

And finally, the price. Me and my family ate out for a budget less than £30. And the serving was extremely fast. All the way from Slough, we experienced something like never before.

This restaurant is definitely worth going to. The food is an absolute delight, the price is small but the servings are big!
