Great food at decent prices, not cheap but not overly expensive. The restaurant upstairs is sparsely decorated. More a place to eat with friends than for a romantic meal. The service was excellent.

The bar downstairs is a hidden gem. Good music, understated. Will def be back.

I have not eaten at this restaurant/bar but have been to some great parties and some relaxing drinking sessions here. The staff are warm and friendly with a real sense of authentic Japan. The manager has gone all out to keep the minamalist approach to his bar and restaurant. The cute shop downstairs, and the huge projection on the wall of the lower ground bar are its selling points. LIFE is a cool underground Tokyo-style venue, having lived in Japan for many years I can vouch for this. Happy hour between 5-8pm is great too.. all cocktails, beers etc at reduced prices. Come and join the fun in this quirky bar in off-beat track of Old Street closer to Clerkenwell Road!
