Stumbled across this restauaant last night as I was wanderning through Borough Market on my way to The Rake, so the 3 of us came here to eat as it was so close.
We used the rear entance, which is pretty gloomy - there is a front door to the l-shaped dining area which we didn't see. The restaurant was reasonably busy but the inside is pretty gloomy - too much brown.
We were served quickly and the food came promptly, and that really is all that was good about the experience.
Prices were fairly steep and the quality of the food was average at best.
Next time we are in the area the plan will be to walk on by and find somewhere else.
Beer, starter, main course and a bread came to £23 a head including service.
Not cheap, not good, not worth it, not coming here again.
Just read the previous review and i completely disagree with it. My partner and i visited the London Bridge Tandoori Restaurant the other day and found the staff to be very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are a little on the expensive side but the large portions, taste of food and service more than made up for it. Will visit again soon and recommend it to others as well.
what a joke of a place. Visited it with relatives who were visiting from India. And one of my uncles wanted to take some pictures of the whole group.
we were the only people in the restuarant at that time. What followed was one of the most bizzare things I have EVER seen on this planet.
Uncle - Trying to get some pictures. Waiter - "quite rudely" - Dont take my picture. Uncle - I am not taking your picture. Had I wanted to take your picture, I would have asked for your permission.
Waiter - No, u were taking my picture. Dont take my picture.
Uncle - Sir, I was not taking your picture. I have no interest in taking ur picture.
Waiter - No, u were trying to take my picture. This whole exchange was repeated another couple of times again....
At this point, the situation just got unbearable, and we decided to move out of the place.
We asked for the owners number. The waiter claimed to be the owner. Refused to give us a complaint card and was very rude in general to even the ladies in the group.
Didnt even wait to try the food. But the service was atrocious enough to be actually FUNNY.
Oh my god!!!!They call it a restuarant.Wouldnt go there if there was a famine and that was the last place left on earth serving food.AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!
I visited this restaurant with a friend yesterday, having just been for a strenuous workout in the gym and so was looking forward to something meaty, filling and flavoursome that would 'hit the spot'.
The food came fast; an assortment of mixed grill meats, paratha breads, mutton vindaloo accompanied with an assortment of vegetable side dishes.
The mixed grill really did hit the spot which is more than could be said for the remaining dishes, which were at best, bland and in need of a bit of a kick up the backside.
As for the vindaloo....well i'm certainly feeling the after effects today.
Had another fantastic night here... Great service, great location and even better food! A great "family run" feel to the restaurant!!! Will be back for sure!!
Try the Naga Chicken - It's hot!!!!!
A frequent diner here for more than 6 years. Never been disappointed with the quality of food, or the range of items on the menu. Price is very good too (not just for the area, but in general too).

I dine out a lot with my girlfriend and friends and i dont usually write customer reviews of restaurants that i visit. But i have to write in about the London Bridge Tandoori Restaurant especially after the comments from the last review which i found very surprising. My girlfriend and i have been visiting this small family run Indian restaurant since 2000. We always recommend this place to family and friends. The decor is not great although they have injected a new modern colour scheme to the interior and the furniture is a bit dated. But if i wanted to go somewhere for the view then i would choose a museum not a restaurant ! This place is an eatery and it is damn good at that. The food options are many, the grub is delicious, the waiters are friendly and polite and the portions are value for money for the SE1 postcode area. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and she loves the veggie options available. It is a small place and sometimes can get crammed but i think this adds to the atmosphere. All in all, if your looking for good Indian food and good service then this place ticks all the boxes - highly recommended !
I went to the London Bridge Tandoori restaurant last night. The place is filthy and smelt of damp. A customer was spouting virulent unpleasant views loudly across the restaurant. A waiter joined in with him. We walked out of London Bridge Tandoori restaurant straight away.
Twelve of us went to the London Bridge Tandoori Restaurant and had a fantastic time. They had great service, delicious food and a really welcoming atmosphere. We all had a three course meal and a variety of drinks and desserts. There was also a great choice of vegetarian selections. I chose the scrumptious Chicken Chilli Masala.
The final bill was a pleasant surprise as our individual total was £20.00 each. All in all, we spent three hours at London Bridge Tandoori and that is what I call a bargain for a good night out.
My friends and I stumbled upon the London Bridge Tandoori Restaurant in the heart of London Bridge. It has friendly service, knowledgeable waiters, an excellent array of vegetarian and meat dishes and the decor was welcoming. The music in the background and the service with a smile set the mood. We were allowed to take our time to relax, enjoy the food and socialise over a few drinks.
The waiters were well presented and were not afraid to recommend dishes to our taste. I opted for the daily special. The drinks menu was impressive with a selection of domestic and Indian beer along with nice red wine.
We had a great evening. The food was delicious and filling and the price was very reasonable. We will be going back to the London Bridge Tandoori Restaurant.
London Bridge Tandoori Restaurant - Good quality food in a no frills environment.
Although not the prettiest restaurant around, the London Bridge Tandoori produced for us a beautifully lean and succulent lamb passanda and a tangy chicken balti.
Good food. Service that suggests what you ought to eat, which let's face it, is what most of us require from a good Tandoori restaurant, and all at a reasonable price.
If you are looking for indoor foliage, this is not the place for you, but if you want a no-nonsense quality curry, head there now.
