I've been to most of the Vietnamese restaurant on this street, and this is by far my favourite. Food is cheap, fresh and tasty. No cork charge. Since they renovated, they have more space and cleaner toilet! I love their signature steamroll, noodle with meat, monkfish, pho and banana fritters!

This place used to be great, with excellent service and value.

On a few recent visits things haven't been so good. Sloppy service: rice bought first and left sitting on table for five minutes, getting cold, before main dishes arrived. No bowls, only the plates from our starters. Would've gotten the attention of a member of staff were they looking.

Then, sat with dirty plates in front of us for a good 20 mins.

This place used to be a real gem, but now it's just another average Vietnamese in Shoreditch.

Loong Kee offers a large variety of tasty dishes at a modest price. The fish and the prawns taste fresh. The papaya salad is delicious. The staff is friendly and you can bring your own wine...
Only downside, you have to pay everything by cash. So better be organised.

Loong Kee is a groovy little Vietnamese place in Shoreditch. Surprisingly, for the area, Loong Kee is dead cheap and you can eat out for the same price making a meal there would have cost at home. And you don't have to do the washing up after - result.
