We have had the party booked there for about 30 people. It's a great place to have a venue as otherwise rather empty. The DJ was horrible, killing with the to loud music. The place is not a Fabric club, need some more relaxed music (I don't know Pop? Jazz? R'n'B? Soul even Reagge?). The manager friendly and proffesional, so was the staff - great coctails (they make the way you like it).
Owerall: Book the party there! and bring your own DJ.
I have booked Lounge 34 three times in the last couple of years and will do so again in the future. The staff are friendly and the drink selection comprehensive. Great place to meet friends after work but really comes into its own for parties. Tucked away behind Waterloo Station, so very easy to get home for us South West Londoners... as long as I've held back on the cocktails! I would definitely recommend this place.
Enough chairs to sit and quite comfortable close to Waterloo, however we just missed happy hour and our cocktails weren't that tasty, the blond beer on the menu not available, the food available was just finger food (none of the main menu available- and this was just 7pm week day).
The toilet lock was broken on the ladies. Bar staff was nice, as one of the wines on the menu was not available, and my friend then ordered just a random one, which tasted really bad..
..she was able to change it to a more reasonable, which was a nice gesture.
My verdict is that they could get some better drinks!
Music was my 2006 Pacha CD, which was alright... in 2006.
I booked this place out for a party of approximately 120 people and it was ideally suited to that number I felt. The night was fantastic, bar staff were really polite and friendly. The lay out is also good in that you can chill out at the front or back of the place, or be more involved chatting/dancing in the centre of the room. Yes, the actual venue is a little generic in its appearance, but it's still clean and stylish. Anyway, it's the functionality that counts - this place is a 5* in that respect.
I booked the place with the positive comments of other users here in mind. I'm happy to add another good review. I'll be going back.
I had my 30th Birthday Party here on a Saturday night. Compared to other places locally, the deposit / minimum bar spend was very reasonable.
The manager, Niv, was really helpful and all the bar staff and door staff were really friendly and helped to make it a brilliant night. Lounge 34 also organised a DJ for me - £80 for the whole night til 2am! Bargain! He was great too and let me take some of my own cd's as well so that it could be a nostalgic night.
Great location and excellent staff. Many of my friends commented on a brilliant choice of venue. It is perfect for a party with 80 - 100 guests. I would definately hire this venue for a party again.
Lounge 34 is a great place to hold a private function. I held my fancy dress 30th there. The staff were very friendly and courteous. There are decks and stuff, so I was able to have my own DJ and the venue is well setup with leather couches and a good bar.
