I was recommended to go to Mala Restaurant for my 23rd birthday, the customer service was great, the waiters where very patient whilst my friends took time coming to the restaurant. However when we ordered the food most of the curries were burnt. We don't usually do Indian as we prefer home cooked curries, but all 10 of us could tell when curries were burnt. We ended up paying over £200 for our meal and most of the food was untouched. I was so dissappointed and embarrased having my friends pay so much for food that was not even edible. I went straight to the manager in charge and complained. Instead of a manager listening to my concerns with the food, i had a person talking to me in a street/thug like manner, disagreeing with everything i was saying. Quite upset i left the resturant, and i will warn those that go there. I personally would not recommend this to others, unless you want to throw good money away.

I have been to Mala Indian Cuisine quite a few times and love the food and the relaxed atmosphere. However my boyfriend and I went on Saturday night and found we couldn't order any alcohol. If we wanted it we had to opt for a set meal! So we both ended up getting this because quite frankly you can't enjoy an Indian without alcohol, especially Cobra!


If Mala have an issue with licensing they need to make that clear and not charge people a set price each for a starter, main course, rice, naan and a drink!

I don't usualy go out to Indian restaurants. Being asian I enjoy home cooked food. I was invited by friends to Mala Indian Cuisine.


Well, I was surprised how tasty the food was. The food at Mala was great, mouth watering dishes with pleasant and helpful staff.


I will definitely be going back for more.
Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Been to Mala Indian Cusine once or twice and quite enjoyed it. The food's tasty and there's a nice, relaxed atmosphere in there.

You can get takeway from Mala Indian Cuisine too, which is usually quite speedy.
