Mama Rosa has a fantastic al fresco dining area. It was so nice to sit outside in the bright sunshine and sample their simple yet delectable Italian dishes. The staff at Mama Rosa were friendly and helpful also.

Mama Rose does beautiful service and food the Italian way. It is great for parties, especially at Christmas. The staff are mostly Italian and they treat you like part of their family. Mama Rose is great!

Mama Rosa looks the part but they are clearly unable to cater for large groups on busy nights. One of our party did not get a meal and when we ask if the meal was coming the staff did not seem bothered in the least. After 10 mins it was clear that it was not going to arrive before everyone else had finished their meal, so we shared the food we had. We recieved no explanation, no apology, no compensation so paid what we felt the meal was worth.


In all we had shabby service, with dirty cloths wrapped round wine bottles and surly staff and incredibly rude management. So in all a very poor choice of restuarant. If I could score Mama Rosa less than 1 I would give it -3.

Mama Rosa is my favourite restaurant in the area...The service is great and it's family run, so you're always made to feel welcome, and it's very well priced. Mama Rosa have really friendly staff, good service and great food.

I think Mama Rosa needs to retire. She’s getting complacent and sloppy in her old age. Where once Mama Rosa would take care and pride over her food, now she just seems to slop it down at your table without as much as a second glance.
