Came to Mantanah with my family and we all really enjoyed the food.

Ordered pad Thai, a curry with banana blossoms, tamarind duck, and garlic chicken. Food was very tasty.

Menu had many items from various regions that were different from the usual Thai restaurant.

After talking to the owner, he also said that they can make other dishes upon request if asked ahead of time.

Good service, delicious food, friendly owner, we will definitely be returning. So happy to find a good Thai restaurant near Croydon!

A hidden gem in the culinary wasteland of South Norwood. One of the best Thai restuarants in London! A bold claim I know, especially at these very modest prices, but I stand by it. The range of dishes on offer is unusual and the menu will probably have some things you haven't tried before - I urge you to do so. The quality of the food and cooking is really remarkable at these prices. I have often compared much more expensive places in central London and the West End unfavourably with the Mantanah.

I have been going for years and still return to it even though I no longer live in Croydon. Service is always friendly and courteous if occasionally hampered by language problems. The decor is, I think, rather charming and they have some nice antique Thai artifacts on the wall. The take away is rather good too. Its in the Good Food Guide! How many other restuarants in South Norwood do you know that are in the Good Food Guide?

I came here for a quick bite with my partner, only to find out after sitting down that there is a £15 minimum per person on a Saturday night, so a quick bite turned into a 3 course meal. Which was to our delight after all because the food was really good and we even had some left over to take home!!

Only criticism is that the waitress didnt want to leave our table when we asked for a few minutes before ordering!

A friend and I visited Mantanah on a whim and boy were we glad we did. The service was top notch and the food was so tasty we soon entered into a state of hideous greed.


The prices weren't bad at all and ensured that if we are in the area again we'll be sure sure to visit the lovely Mantanah.
