I happened to be walking through Covent Garden with two kids demanding chips and desperate not to get cornered into eating in a tourist trap; so when the wife frogmarched me into Maxwells kicking and screaming I assumed the worst. I was expecting Maxwells to be a horrendous eatery full of fat Americans who had just had their breakfast at an Aberdeen Steak House. Well, I was pleasantly surprised.



The staff were very attentive and the kids were immediately armed with crayons and bits of paper. The food was delivered quickly and wasn’t too bad. So all in all Maxwell’s wasn’t as bad I had thought it was going to be. And not an American in sight.

I've only been to Maxwells a few times but every time has been great. Great for me and my kids. The food is always at a good standard at Maxwells, as is the service. I'll be going there again

Maxwells is in a really good spot for a pre-theatre dinner. They serve very pleasant food in a good location. I think Maxwells would be great for group dining.
