Had a fantastic meal at Meraz last night. Wonderful food, made to feel really welcome - a great evening.
Having lived on Brick Lane for years, Meraz Cafe is now the only place that I now go to for a curry! The food is always good, is very reasonably priced and we always enjoy ourselves. Unlike the bigger restaurants on the main road (where you rarely get a great meal, and are constantly pestered as you walk along Brick Lane), Meraz delivers every time! Thank you!
Had a delicious lunch on a Saturday afternoon. A lamb shank slow cooked until falling off the bone was delicious, as was the crispy and flavorful sun dried spinach. The menu has so many dishes beyond the usuals. I will certainly returning to try them.
Just had lunch here, and no stress of can i do it in my lunch hour as service was outstanding, and not heavy so no afternoon snooze!
We went there because of the user reviews we read here. The food was absolutely lovely. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The fact that you can take your own drink is even better. If we are ever in Brick Lane again, this is certainly the place where we will be eating.
Bored of sandwiches, home made and from the market, but never enough time to sit down and eat. I dropped into Meraz; which unlike the whole of Brick Lane didn't have someone standing outside try to drag you in. In hear I bought a couple of kebab wrap takeaway, now be careful as they have a kick! But after having them I will have to have a sit down meal and soon!
We kind of took over the place so apologise to the other people dining - but we had a great night! Food was fantastic - really tasty, lots of it and good value. Service was great too and the guys were very obliging of our numerous requests to take photos! Wholeheartedly recommend it.
Basic, just off Brick Lane but the the quality of the food is a world away. No 'tika touts' trying to pull you in, just a simple and well priced menu supplemented by a 'daily special' backed up by good friendly service. When we ate the special was chicken jalfrezi on the bone, really tasty also enjoyed the lamb with cabbage a first for me. Only slight down side was my onion pakora which could have been a bit cripser, nan and rice very good. Will return when we are next in London.
